What is a typical day like for a Recruiter/Account Manager at IDR? |
|
Thankfully, there is no “typical” day. It’s a roller coaster ride, and it’s always 100 mph! The environment is fast-paced, high energy, and fun! The day starts with our morning board meeting where we go over each opening we’re looking to fill for our clients. As a Recruiter, you will be assigned to a specific position(s) to work on. You may fill that position quickly and move to another, or it may be more challenging and take a few days to find the right candidate. You will then handle the entire process of working with the candidates you speak with – including things like meeting each candidate in person, checking references, administering technical tests, and putting out Job Offers to name a few! You will also be responsible for keeping in touch with those candidates you have previously placed, whether it be taking them to lunch or just checking in with a simple phone call to make sure they’re happy and doing a good job for the client.

How does training work? |
|
Each Recruiter goes through a 2-week comprehensive training program. This entails classroom training, bibliotherapy, role-plays, shadowing, and comprehensive Q&A sessions. We keep sharp with continuous weekly classroom training to go over the little things that set us apart. You can then go down numerous career paths, including sales/account management or recruiting. You will learn the IDR sales process and be ready for Account Management before you know it.

Do I need a technical background to work at IDR? |
|
You do not need a technical background at all. We provide a comprehensive training program that will teach you everything you need to know to become a technical recruiter. We’ll have you talking like an MCSE in no time!
